“I always competed with my cousin brothers and all the boys in my class to be in sports considered as boy’s domain. This was rare feat to achieve in the 1970s. My father always backed me up and encouraged me to take it seriously. I was very successful in my pursuit of football and cricket and have won many laurels and the highest I have played is representing my state of Jharkhand as their wicket-kepper in Ranji matches for many years. I have had the ultimate pleasure to change the way people think what a girl can achieve.
My only secret is not giving up and giving it my all. And having a great man to be my father. He is smiling down on me saying Go Girl!“
